Liz Anderson, MSW, LICSW (she/her)
Meet Liz
Liz Anderson is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Board-approved Clinical Supervisor. She approaches her work with curiosity, compassion, and collaboration. She will take the time to get to know you, your story, goals, and values.
With a holistic perspective and a deep belief in the body-mind-spirit connection, Liz will ask you to consider how your whole self is being impacted by both your strengths and your struggles, helping you tune in deeper to what may be happening below the surface. She will name the hard stuff, invite you to mindful reflection, and openly discuss identities, societal pressures, and historical traumas.
With that said, as a client, you are in the driver’s seat with Liz, and she welcomes you to be as honest as possible, pushing back on suggestions or direction she takes in session. With a psychodynamic lens, relational perspective, and grounded in trauma impacts, Liz hopes to help her clients find a rootedness within themselves regardless of the storms that may be swirling around them.
Liz is a seasoned Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) clinician. She also has specific training in doing EMDR for trauma in early childhood. She loves to work across culture and language, previously working with newly resettled refugees and asylees. She currently works with adults.
Liz is an independent contractor and currently sees clients via telehealth and in person at her Cleveland Avenue, St. Paul location.
